The moon is always whole

April 20, 2011

Whether the moon appears to wax or wane, as full, new or gibbous

~ it is always whole.

Thy inner eye sees it always whole. Even the ‘far side’ that never faces the earth.

Whether the world appears turbulent or calm, violent or peaceful

~ it is always One.

The expanded heart sees it always connected. Even the part that is always in the dark.

I woke to the early song birds – the ones that sing just as the light starts to seep in.

I woke to the moon wondering if it was full – the moon large and whole but not full shone down from the crest of the far hill on the other side of the valley.

Now I read your poem – 30 minutes later.

    Good morning Meenakshi:)

Terrill, when I wrote the blog, I thought…sound and touch and …other sensations need to come in, and then I knew that they would. I loved the way you came into the space. Thank you.

Thank you for your wonderful poem. It made me start thinking that it is the light frames our concept of the moon. That reminded me of the saying that attitude is like water for the fish – so light is the lens with which we see things…

Janine, what a wonderful perspective to bring in! That light touch is what has made these words into poetry

I know I have just witnessed the symphony of the universe. I’ve perceived infinity throughout these silvery moonlit threads.
