Peaceful silence of death

March 15, 2011

In shavasana, the corpse pose, which my father referred to by its other name, shanti asana, the pose of peaceful silence. It’s like being in prayer for the Gaia Minute, surrendering, letting go, being still, peaceful, silent. Merging in one.

True union

Is that what death is like? Peaceful silence? We live a breath away from both. Somehow, awareness of this of this brings a deep joy.

Your father is correct, others are using the misleading name. Saanthi asana is the final one to complete a Yoga Asana session. In this we relax our body part by part from toe to top of the head. we will be there watching the entire process.
even during meditation Samaadhi stages too soul will be there inside only the body become still. During deep sleep and some dreaming stages, the soul goes out of the body but there will be a connection called silver thread and body could be seen from above it. All these comes under siddhies, which are not necessary and disturbing to the top most achievement.

Reading your words, Sanmugan, I felt as if I’m emerging from a deep session of yoga. Thank you so much for this explanation. Deep bows to one who is simply amazing
