Stepping into stillness together ~ eye of the storm

March 13, 2011

Stepping into stillness
This exercise can be done with a pen and paper or simply sitting in a space where you feel you will be undisturbed. It is modified from a session of Stepping into Stillness , every Saturday on skype for the Gaia Minute.

Honoring the events of earthquake and tsunami in Japan earth and water elements on Mother Earth.

Welcome to the sacred circle stepping into stillness together.

Visualize that you are in a circle with others in a sacred moment.

When the mind is left without anything to cling to, it becomes still~Ramana Maharishi

A stillness of mind comes only through self-knowledge, ..being aware of every thought and feeling. J. Krishnamurti

Whoever investigates the True “I” enjoys the stillness of bliss. ~Ramana Maharishi

Please enter with your place, time, and a message. What is in your mind about Gaia right now?

Bring the thoughts to your awareness, by writing them down or focusing on them.

Thank you. From your mind, to your fingers, to this sacred circle. Now let your thoughts go into the sacred light in the center of our circle.
Let them go

Storm, tsunami, disaster, death, loss, suffering. Watch all your thoughts, feelings. Let them all come together, connect with each other, bringing the disaster into your consciousness. Breathe it out. Let it go.

Within the storm, is the eye of the storm. The eye is still. Move into the stillness within the eye of the storm. Gaia is one. We are all connected.

Take regular breaths.

Stay still for as long a time as  you would like.
Deciding when to move into stillness and when to move out
If a thought comes up, write it down.

Thanking all guardians and participants of the sacred circle.

Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi
Om Peace Peace Peace
