The edges of I

October 17, 2010

Like  waves advancing on an ocean shore
Then retreating into the deep
I advances from All Is to This Is
From a sense of no-separation to individuality
From real to  reflection

But the ocean is always there

Delightfully, each drop leaps towards the sky
To reflect the light in one breathtaking moment
Then to fall back into the wave
Reveling in the frothy foam of its fascination with sand

There is delight in the edges of I

Stars in the sky gleam on the sand below
Each particle celebrates its separation from its neighbor
Just as the wave carries it to its watery home

The sense of I expands

It seems to me that we are leaving a land of ego, individuality, separation, in which we have lived for many generations. We have paid our dues in fear, alienation, suffering and as we leave, it is giving its best shot to keep us here.
The guides are present, who are showing us where we came from. We can see it, or have faith in it, or hope or a desire, or a dream. A land where there is no guilt in joy, no shame in contentment, no worry about loss.

What we leave behind, is absorbed into the heart of compassion, so it is never forsaken.

There once was a time in days of yore
Said the child in the garden of Gaia
When we lived in a place where the Edges Grew Oppressive
And we forgot that Each Graces One

High level philosophy distributing in a smoother manner. Waves go back to the deeper and the same thing happens to all the bearers
